Kardhaus

iPhone · iOS 18 and later · coming soon

Two sides. One person. Obviously.

A business card scanner for iPhone that works offline, needs no account, and is bought once instead of rented. It reads the Chinese side and the English side of the same card as one contact — because that is what they are.

One card, photographed twice, saved once.

Buy it once

US$5.99 at launch, one time, forever. No monthly fee, no annual fee, no ads on any tier. The price rises in stages and we say so up front — whatever you paid, you own.

Works with the network off

Recognition runs on your device using the OCR built into iOS. Turn on airplane mode and scan a card — it works. That is the whole product, not a degraded fallback mode.

What leaves your phone, and when →

One card, two faces

It asks for the back before you put the card down, then reasons over both faces at once. Chinese and English names both kept. Switchboard and direct line correctly typed, not duplicated.

Kardhaus is in development for iOS 18 and later. Leave your email and you get the TestFlight build when it opens, plus 100 free AI scans on the house — double-sided cards included, counted as one card, not two.

A person reads these. They go on the build list, in order of how often they come up.

One email when the build is ready, one when it launches. No newsletter, no drip sequence, never sold and never handed to an ad network. Stored in our own Cloudflare database and a private Google Sheet. Unsubscribe deletes the record. How we handle this email

What this is not

  • Not a digital or NFC card you hand out — this reads the paper you were given.
  • Not a CRM, and not a team-shared vault. It is one person’s filing cabinet.
  • Not a social network. Nobody is notified that you scanned their card.
  • Not free-with-ads. There are no ads on any tier, including the free one.

Where we are still honest about the gaps

There is no Android version yet, no web app, no macOS app, and no CRM integration beyond CSV export. If several colleagues need to work from one shared card pool, a cloud product is the right tool and we will not pretend otherwise.

Guides that do not need us

Your iPhone can already read a business card with nothing installed. These explain how, and where the built-in tools genuinely stop being enough.
