Terms of use
Written to be read. Where a term exists only to protect us, it says so.

Last updated 2026-08-17. These terms cover the Kardhaus iOS app, this website, and the waitlist. Using any of them means accepting them. If you do not, do not use them — there is nothing else you need to do, because we hold no account of yours to close.
Kardhaus is made by an independent developer based in Taiwan. Contact for everything, including anything on this page: hello@kardhaus.com.
The app is not out yet
Kardhaus is in development. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, the prices quoted are intended prices rather than committed ones, and joining the waitlist is neither a purchase nor a reservation. If the app never ships, you will have paid nothing.
Your licence, once it does
Buying Kardhaus buys a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on the devices your Apple Account allows, under Apple’s standard licence terms for App Store applications. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or decompile it beyond what your local law permits regardless of what a contract says.
Apple is the seller. Your purchase contract for the app is with Apple, not with us. That also means Apple handles refunds — we cannot issue one, and asking Apple directly is faster than asking us to ask them.
Price, and what happens when it rises
- Kardhaus is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, and we are not planning one.
- The price rises in announced stages. We say so in advance rather than staging a fake discount countdown.
- A price rise never reaches back to you. What you paid is what you paid, and the version you bought keeps working.
- If a genuinely separate product is ever built — a Mac app, say — it would be its own purchase. Sold features do not get moved behind a new paywall.
Your cards are yours
We claim no rights over anything you put into Kardhaus, and we could not act on such a claim anyway: your cards never reach us. Exporting your library to vCard or CSV is available at any time and is not gated behind payment, because data you can only get out by paying is data being held hostage.
You are responsible for the cards you scan. They contain someone else’s personal data. Kardhaus is built so that data stays on your device, but what you then do with it — exporting it, forwarding it, adding it to a company system — is your decision and yours to justify under the law that applies to you.
The waitlist and this website
Do not submit anyone else’s email address, and do not use the comment box for anything confidential or for a third party’s contact details. We may remove submissions that are automated, abusive, or an attempt to flood the form. What we do with what you submit is set out in the privacy policy.
What we do not promise
Character recognition is not perfect and will never be. It misreads stylised type, low-contrast printing and unusual layouts, and it will occasionally put the right text in the wrong field. Kardhaus is a filing tool, not a system of record: check anything that matters before you rely on it. We are not liable for a consequence of a misread card, a missed meeting, or a contact detail that turned out to be wrong.
The app is provided as-is, without a warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid for it. Two honest notes on that: at this price that is a very small number, and nothing here removes the consumer rights your own country gives you — where local law overrides a term on this page, local law wins.
Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, backups are yours to keep. We have no copy to restore for you. Losing the phone without a backup means losing the library, and there is no support ticket that can undo it.
Ending it
Delete the app. There is no account to close, no subscription to cancel, and no data of yours on our side to be deleted — apart from a waitlist entry, which hello@kardhaus.com removes on request.
Changes, and the law that applies
If these terms change materially, the updated date above changes and the change is described on this page rather than replaced silently. These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, with the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance — and again, without displacing any mandatory consumer protection in your own country of residence.
Company and product names elsewhere on this site belong to their owners and are used to describe compatibility and compare pricing models. Kardhaus is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of them.
